DDS texture Loading

Hello all,

I've been trying to get DDS textures to load in a linux environment and due to dependence on ddraw.h have been pretty much unsuccesful so far. Has anyone been successful?

I've tried using these files:

Along with one of the many glut windows based DDS texture loading programs replacing the load textures section with the load textures section of the above code and the upload texture section with the upload texture section of the above code. All I get is the the quad creating a white box.

Help Please!

Thank you,
