customised graphics in apps

guys,

i am going to be using Qt designer for programming (or at least that is the plan)

now I want to really customise the artowkr or the GUI interface to my own personal needs, is it possible just to create the artwork in say gimp and then improt it in.

then set the ares so that you can inbed objects like pulldown menus etc onto them?

If im way out here please let me know.

Thanks
Kenny

I think that toolkits cover things like Windows and 2d graphics but I believe that 3d graphics are done in OpenGL or MesaGL. I'm sure you can probably add a bitmap image using QT that you created in gimp. A more 3d animation oriented open source graphics program is called blender.

Look into the QMovie and QPixmap classes in QT.
