cron daemon and email

Is there a way to have the cron email me only if a certain condition is true instead of emailing me all standard output?

Normally you'd capture your own stdout/stderr, you shouldn't just let it go. Then send an email if you detect an error.

Write a script which scans through the output on the STDOUT/ERR and sends
