Question Create and catch own event

buon pomeriggio !!
I'm tring to create my own event - messages which I need to catch them . According to a specific message I need to do something(like open a thread )
I understand I need to use :
1. PushEventHandler
2. GetEventHandler
3. wxPostEvent

Does someone can make me an arrangement in all this mess?
what is the flow ?
