Compilation of bareos on arm-architecture: Missing MySQL-Header/Libs
Hey,
I want to compile a backup software ("bareos") for my Synology-NAS (running on armv5tel/linux-2.6.32). I have a working gcc-toolchain on my NAS, but missing mysql-header/libs.
Bareos supports different Database-Backends. I want to use the MYSQL-backend, because MYSQL is already up and running on my NAS (out-of-the-box).
Problem is: I don't have the mysql header / libs for compilation. If it was a different architecture (i.e. ubuntu/x86_64) I would know what to do: "apt-get install libmysqlclient-dev".
On my NAS I have ipkg to install packages, but the repository doesn't serve any mysql-DEV packages.
I tried to copy the Header-files from an Ubuntu system, but I don't have the libs, because the ubuntu-libs would be the wrong architecture -> I don't know where to get the lib-files.
QUESTION IS:
- How do I get the equivalent of libmysqlclient-dev on my NAS? Can I compile this from mysql-source?
- What's the best approach? Maybe Cross-Compile from ubuntu?
