mkdir

But more importantly, the command 'apropos' is your friend. It tells you which man pages (the online documentation) contain the information related to your question:

Code:
$ apropos "make a directory"

mkdir                (3p)  - make a directory
mknod (3p) - make a directory, a special file, or a regular file
