Coding a redirect function in php

I have the following line of code written in php:

$redirect_page = $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] . "?counter=" . $counter;

Which display the counter in the address each time a message is sent. What would be the syntax to add more that one variable to this url. I have four othervariables that I would like to have displayed in the url. Can nayone help me woth this or point me in the right direction?

You see the first variable is there in the same way yours is. So the next natural step is?

What about the quotations? Is there only one set around counter or does a set get put around each variable?
