Changin lilo src code
Hi everyone,
I belive this is quite an unusual problem, so I'm taking my chances here...
We have linux as the OS for our product, and I have developed a way of updating the software by booting in a safe partition and runing a couple of scripts that update the machine. The issue is, the lilo timer was set to zero, therefore it will not prompt at booting UNLESS it is booted with the ALT key (or ctrl, shift, and another options) pressed while lilo is loading. This is working fine.
The chalenge is, we dont want to have to plug a keyboard in the machine. We would like to use the hardware interruption from a button on the machine to open the lilo "switching" window. And further more, we would need to change the up and down keys on lilo to keys on our machine.
I have downloaded lilo's source code and i have being trying to understand it for a week now, but I still havent found where does it listen to the inputs to see if the alt key is being pressed.
Anyone got a clue?
Thanks a lot
Ariel
