Question Change network device's ip address in Kde 3.5

HI all!
I just wrote in KDE 3.5 a software, which lists network device ip addresses and allows user to change them.
As you know default user can't change ip address without root permissions.
That's the problem.
Adding to executed program SUID privileges I got the message:
The KDE libraries are not designed to run with suid privileges.

How I can override this message or does anyone knows another way to solve this problem?

How about creating a launcher which runs the command "kdesu your_program"?
