Call to undefined function domxml_open_mem()
I am getting this error in php 5.0.3

Fatal error: Call to undefined function domxml_open_mem()
while executing the following line
$dom = domxml_open_mem($xmlData);
I just migrated from php 4.3.9 to php 5.0.3

And this is my configure command for php 5.0.3

./configure --with-apxs2=/home/mydir/apache/bin/apxs --prefix=/home/mydir/php --with-system-regex --with-config-file-path=/home/mydir/php --enable-sockets --enable-track-vars --with-libxml-dir --with-zlib --with-zlib-dir

is that i need to change anything in my configure command or whther this function domxml_open_mem() is change to anyother name?

any help would be appreciated.

This is what the php site has to say about domxml

Note: This extension has been moved to the PECL repository and is no longer bundled with PHP as of PHP 5.0.0.

Note: This extension is no longer marked experimental. It will, however, never be released with PHP 5, and will only be distributed with PHP 4. If you need DOM XML support with PHP 5 you can use the DOM extension. This domxml extension is not compatible with the DOM extension.
So time to do some work moving from DOMXML to DOM
may be of help

This function domxml_open_mem() is supported in windows binaries(PHP 5.0.3) by including the php_domxml.dll file path in the php.ini extension settings.

Like this(by adding any extension) is there any way to support for linux without moving to DOM from DOMXML.?
