Unhappy C Question!

Is there some system calls to make a process enter the system state?

(we all know that a process is under user state normally).

System state as in Kernel mode? Write a device driver.

I am not mean running as root!

as we know, the normal process can only read/write some parts of memory.
what I want to do is that making a process can read/write any parts of memory(RAM)!

Thanks!

So you need a process running as root OR a kernel module. Those are the only possibilities I can see.

It's a good idea to get a good book about Linux kernel. Also look there: www.kernelnewbies.org
