C++ , Java or python?


hi all,

i am starting c, c++ and java in uni next semester.
first year was oberon and cobol
but i heard a lot about python too. is there a catch which makes it better then other languages?
if it does i would like to learn it aside for myself that's why i am asking.

I'm learning it too. I went here. Reason I chose it, is that I was introduced to it by a former co worker, and it's supposed to be easy to learn. It's syntax seems more intuitive than c++ (which I took years ago). Mainly I want to have fun with it and use it in daily admin rather than learning perl.

I have to agree with this. If you know one language well... and I don't mean syntax, but the concept of how to solve problems, any language will do... I guess
