c++ header file at end or beginning?

Hi,
i am using Visual Studio 2005 compiler and i had this issue; i included a header file at the beginning of another header file and got plenty of errors- redefinitions and other syntax ones, but as i changed the position of the include -placed the include at the end- the errors disappeared. Include guards seem to be OK. Could somebody give a possible explanation?

Thanks

"i included a header file at the beginning of another header file and got plenty of errors"
for example: a header file = A another header = B
Maybe, some variables in A must be declared, but the declarations are in B,so you must change the position between A and B.
