Hi mjai39 and welcome to LQ.

I've moved your question to the programming forum to help you get better answers; however I'll also add that your question is incomplete. LQ members are here voluntarily to help you improve your Linux skills. Therefore what we're looking for are what you have done to learn Python scripting. Have you written any scripts? Have you thought about what tasks you wish to automate? Please post an update with more information about your expertise level with Python. Because if you are just starting with Python and have no familiarity, then perhaps you can benefit first by being offered some reading references for the language.

In the meantime, please re-review the following LQ links to help you formulate better questions:

I am pretty sure if you type 'python tutorial' into Google you will be inundated with options.

The sidebar on the /r/python subreddit is probably the best place to start.
