bash: How i use locate output


I need to use the output of
Code:
locate
.
Basically, i need to open the file when i locate with nano.

Example
Code:
 locate vlcrc 
/home/Cat/.vlc/vlcrc
How make this working ?
xargs working with gedit but not working with nano?
Code:
locate vlcrc | xargs nano 
Am recepţionat SIGHUP sau SIGTERM
[Cat@localhost ~]$ locate vlcrc | xargs gedit
