bash command line smtp mail

Is there a way to script sending an email directly from the command line by specifying an SMTP server, address and subject? I have a script that I want to email it results to me, but I don't want to install SendMail or something similar.

use ssmtp .. it will install links from "sendmail", so its a bit sendmail compatible ... from what i know, it doesn't include a server, only a client, just use it from the command line and it should work

other smtp client only things include: nbsmtp ... and i forget the rest ...
