bash/cmd mode: how to know that somebdy is calling in skype ?


Hello,

I would like to know when somebody is calling me with a bash script, so that I can run commands.

Would you think that it could be possible ? any idea howto way?

ps -aux cannot say much, just that skype is running

Skype listens on a network port and, when so configured, will alert the user on calls with an audible or visual signal. Signal events can be tracked (a crude way would be for instance to watch window titles) and network events can be grepped for in logs (when iptables is configured with -j LOG rules).
