your case, and are the "benefits" stated really applicable to you?
Especially when you are building a new ("green field") web service, perhaps you should be equally or more concerned with "future-proofing" your design. If someone wants to build an appliance of some kind that will interact with your service, five years from now (and a full three years after "that most-unfortunate bread truck incident" which most-unfortunately involved
you ...), will your successors (and heirs) be happy with your choice? Why or why not?
