Question Attention All The Good Programmers .....


Hey Guys ....plzzz write me a shell program of a calender which tells the day when the date is input .....for both past and future dates ....


example .....
input- 20-10-2009
output- tuesday

urgent .....thanx in advance ...

This does look like homework and it is urgent......... Two things we don't like to see here at LQ.

Here's a hint that could be of use: Take a look at the cal program, which you could use as base for your script.

Using GNU date:

date -d '10/20/2009' "+%A"
