I kno mostly basics for both.. but i wonder what everyone else's opinions are on asp. i heard that perl has ability to create network programs but i never heard of asp to do so. i think asp's best aspect is ado.
what are your opinions and please give me detailed information. i want to learn.
I totally agree with Acid, though fortunately I was able to stop my work from using ASP and move entirely to Perl (and away from Windows servers, to Linux). Thank god for that.
Distribution: Emacs and linux is its device driver(Slackware,redhat)

and another plus is you can write middle size software with perl but you cant with asp asp is just for the web but perl is more generel you can even create gui s in perl
