ASCII Art Program
I've seen a program that takes a string in ANY font installed on the system (not just pre-determined fonts) and converts the string into intricate ASCII art (maintaining the apperiance of the font). The art is not primitive, it doesn't just use one a two charaters arbitrarily; the character use (seems) to be determined by some kind of criteria.
Has anyone seen a program like this? Does anyone have any idea on how this was done, as I am looking for a project to test my *mad* skills with the compiler. Thanks. |

Can't recall how it worked, but I remember once watching an mpeg with xine rendered completely in ascii art. Wild. |
Yeah, I have a scene from Matrix in ascii art. I'll check out that link. I need to do some research before I start pouding away at the keyboard. (:
