Question Anyone tried nvidia CUDA toolkit

Hello,
I would be interested to hear if anyone has tried the nvidia cuda toolkit under linux, I am in the processes of costing up/designing some computers for complex systems modelling and it looks like this toolkit might be of some use. Has anyone tried it, or seen people try it somewhere? Just looking to share some thoughts like.

1. Does it really offer a performance advantage?
2. Will it be around long enough to be worth investing in?
3. Does it go faster if you have SLI(does SLI work under linux)?

Cheers,
Phil
