Smile Addin repository with a shell script

I have quite simple problem, I'm trying to make simple shell script that installs some programs and I need it to add a repository for me. I think it involves some hassling with sed but I have no clue how to do it. Could anyone please give me simple example how to do this?

Thanks.

It looks like you're going to end up with something more than a "simple shell script".

I'm thinking you would do well to start by defining in excruciating detail what you mean by "add a repository".

Good luck.

In fact, knowing the distribution you're talking about
would be a bonus to even start thinking about it ;}

more info

Yeah, sorry

I'm using Ubuntu (well, Xubuntu actually) 7.04. Adding repository is made by just adding the new repository address to the end of /etc/apt/sources.list so I think (and hope) that it would be a simple script, don't know then really.

echo -n "\n new repo" >> /etc/apt/sources.list

Trivial ;D

Cheers,
Tink
