Accessing Super IO chips through C language


Hello,

I want to learn to access a give Super IO chip through C programming. Basically, I want to read and write data to/from particular registers and watch the ouput.

can you someone guide to some pointers from where I can learn it from basics?

Assuming the Super IO chips is just a piece of hw you want to access, you need a device driver.
