Hi -

It sounds like your command:
Quote:
wsdl2h -s -o calc.h http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen/calc.wsdl
is failing because the URL:
Quote:
//www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen/calc.wsdl
in the example is no longer valid.

So the short answer is:

Quote:
"find a different URL and try out "wsdl2h" with a different WSDL".
For example:

http://developer.amazonwebservices.c...essageID=89718

The longer answer, however, is that it sounds like you're new to "GSoap" ... AND new to web services ... AND new to Linux, too. "Gsoap" probably isn't the best way to dip your toes into web services.

A Microsoft .Net client (like Visual Studio and VB.Net or C#) is probably the easiest way to get started:

http://www.microsoft.com/exPress/download/

Java is also a good way to get started (especially if you plan on getting involved with J2EE):

http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/2.0/tutorial/doc/

'Hope that helps .. PSM
