[RMI JOnAS] RMI or IPTABLES Configuration

I'm installing JOnAS on a Debian Server, but I can't start it.

I've got this following Exception :

java.rmi.ConnectIOException: Exception creating connection to: 195.x.x.x; nested exception is: No route to host

195.x.x.x is the public address of the server.

I only use RMI with localhost, can I configure instead of 195.x.x.x ? Where ?
Or is there a IPTABLES configuration to allow RMI ?

I can telnet the port 1099 on 195.x.x.x

Does somebody help me ?

Well, it could well be a firewall issue.

Try "iptables -L -n" to see if port 1099 is opened (the common rmi port, but may differ in your installation)

Thank a lot for your answer,

I found the solution, the problem was a bad hosts configuration.
The installer of the server had put a wrong IP pour the host name.. (240 instead of 244 at the end..)
I now understand why this couldn't work.
