[C++] Compiling error

"/opt/as/s1studio/9/SUNWspro/prod/include/CC/Cstd/./memory", line 186: Error: std::ios::basic_ios(const std::ios &) is not accessible from std::ostream::basic_ostream(const std::ostream &).

I'm not getting any wiser by staring at this compile error. Please assist me!

The error occurs when compiling the following code. It is the last line that is causing it.

Code:
vector <ostream> output_streams;
vector <streambuf *> output_buffers;

streambuf * sb;
output_buffers.push_back(sb);
ostream os(output_buffers[0]);
output_streams.push_back(os);

Thank you. Changed my vectors to contain pointers instead.
