howto benchmark gpg in mac os x?

Hi!

I compiled gnupg 1.4.1. with the following flags :
CFLAGS="-O3 -faltivec -mcpu=7450 -mtune=7450 -mpowerpc -fast"

I would like to benchmark it to compare with and without would it make a difference in encrypting stuff.

You could use the time function
Code:
time gpg --verify file.sig
