annndd...how do I get rid of the plank?

I've removed it from the autostart menu...but it keeps starting!

Check that there is no longer a plank.desktop file in your ˜/.config/autostart directory

the_penguinator 02-15-2016 04:03 PM

it only appears here...

[root@sappho:autostart] # updatedb
[root@sappho:autostart] # locate plank.desktop
/usr/share/applications/plank.desktop
/root/microlinux/desktop-14.2-32bit/tools/desktop/plank.desktop
[root@sappho:autostart] #

curious reference to 14.2-32bit...I installed 14.1-64bit

the_penguinator 02-16-2016 12:25 PM

so...just removed the program...who knew?

Why would you want to remove Plank?

Instead of clicking two, three or four times to start an app, just drag-and-drop your favourite apps to Plank and start them with a single click. And since it's auto-hide, it doesn't eat away your desktop space.
