Ok this maybe a dump question but i really need somebodys help i have tried every thing i have a dell 600m laptop with ipw2200 drive now here is my promble ever time i close the lid on the laptop and then open it everthing would start but the wireless i have tried "MODPROBE" to bring back up the ETH1 interface as well as "IFCONFIG" and it still does work if any one can help me Please

Was it previously working at all, or has it not worked since you installed linux? Try using the command:
# iwconfig
and post the output of that (hoping there is some) because that will help the people (not me), who really know what they are doing, help you.

Check out other posts on ndiswrapper if it has never worked. I'm on a dell inspiron as well, and it took me a good while to get my wireless working, but its been great since then (until now, but thats a different story). Make sure to check if ndiswrapper supports your wirless card too -- assuming that you have to use it at all.

yes it works just fine until i close the lid which set the computer on stanby when i ope the lip ever thing eles works fine but the wireless and i have tried all of thoes command to try and restart it but the only way to get it to work is to shut down and restart the whole system and just so you now i have the intel centrino diver with the bulid in wireless so ndiswrapper is not for me thank for the help again
