Why do I end up with kppp daemon has all of a sudden failed
I purchased the latest version of mepis direct from mepis.org as a birthday present for myself. unfortunately I have ended up with 2 errors thanx to the daemon namely error 1 and error 2 which comes up on the screen after I have clicked connect and you can hear the modem dialling but then it stops at the handshake.
I originally tried using it with a winmodem but it didn't work in detecting the correct port so I purchased a serial modem in the hope of fixing the problem and no such luck.
Iam very disappointed as I really hate using xp so my temp solution at the moment is frustration thru using mandrake 9.0.
It would make my home a happier place if someone could help me thru this as my wife has been really unhappy not having the setup the way it should be.
