What programs will I lose access to on kernel recompile?

Hello everyone

I am interested in trying out the latest 2.6.13 kernel. The Mepis that I am currently running is 3.3.2 testing 02 and it has 2.6.12 if I am not much mistaken.

What I would like to know is whether I would have to recompile certain programs that are kernel dependant. Particularly I am worried about ndiswrapper, since without that I simply wouldn't be able to work on my laptop.

CBlue of Mepislovers is at the moment preparing a 2.6.13.3 kernel. The last one she did was 2.6.3.onion1 had a ndiswrapper patch supplied.

yeah, if you did not add thier respective patches you would lose win4lin ndiswrapper & bootsplash. all the patches can be found with a little googling
