sshd not starting in 6.0

#/usr/sbin/sshd
Missing privilege separation directory: /var/run/sshd

bug or by design?

xubuntu starts sshd with the services GUI
but nothing found for Mepis

I created the folder above and excluded world access.

Is there a TCP6 integration found in xubuntu?

found the old sysvconfig, hope it works

You don't start it like that, you need to use
/etc/init.d/ssh start

to start the service. If you want to start automatically add it in runlevel 5 (install sysv-rc-conf or ksysv to edit runlevels or do it using update-rc.d)
