spell check problems

I installed abiword 2.2.8 and it didn't work so I uninstalled and then installed 2.2.7-3.

But somehow in the process the spell check broke. I also lost spell checking in OpenOffice

please help.

It sounds like uninstalling 2.2.8 may have somehow screwed up a spellcheck library componant Abiword and OpenOffice share... try reinstalling whatever library you use for that (ispell, aspell, pspell, whatever you were using) -- be sure to use the same version of this library you were using before (unless you've upgraded, just copy it off your install disk).

install "it"... depends on which distribution you are using. do you still need help here?
