SimplyMepis-3.3.1 Won't Install
I tried to upgrade to SimplyMepis-3.3.1 and the installation fails. I set up the partitions correctly, the system starts, and then it stops loading.
Did I fail to do something I should have or is there something wrong with Mepis?
Must I uninstall first?

Could you provide more details?
Did you verify the md5sum of the .iso before burning the CD?
Did you verify the md5sum of the CD?

Dude..
I just ran into the same thing.. the installation took
forever.. then crashed...
mine was a bad burn..
Actually, the only feature about
"upgrading"
is to preserve your /home.. otherwise it is a
new installation..

Sometimes burning the CD at 2x or 4x speed helps to make it a better/more accurate burn.

To all:
Thanks for your quick replies. I thought I did everything correctly - checked the md5sum, verified the CD burn, ran the distribution first from the CD ROM drive, etc. Exactly the way I ran the first the distribution I got over 8 months ago.
Bad burn? Always a possibility. I'll give it another try.
I did select the 'preserve /home directory' option which I did not do when I originally installed MEPIS.
