Mplayer not running

Hi Mepis users

Have installed Mplayer in Synaptic and Mplayer is in my home directory

Multimedia Mediaplayer (Kmplayer)installed ,vcl working on some flash videos

Have viewed a video from internet.com source that when viewed on desktop screen shows scenes that do not show if downloaded and saved to a folder

Video same listed MB and run time

Have tried to save this video from temp directory drag and drop before the video ends but Mplayer not running

Kino will convert video to a named mpeg video but it is not now the same

length as seen on Desktop screen. Scenes are missing

Just technically interested to solve this problem

I guess you compare size with listed download size. I see no reason why streamed version cannot be more complete than download version.

Saying that it isn't running is very different from saying it won't run.
Perhaps you could share with the whole class how you've established that it isn't running?
