MEPIS won't stop moving my desktop icons
I don't know if this is a KDE problem or a MEPIS problem, but almost every time I log into MEPIS, some of my icons--usually or always the same ones--move from their previous position. They are often moved right on top of each other. I made sure "align to grid" was off, but it's still happening. Does anyone know how I can lock the icons in place?

Then mine, which I installed in July, is obviously an older MEPIS. I didn't go to Configure Desktop. I just right-clicked on the desktop, which offers four options for the icons: sort icons, line up horizontally/vertically, align to grid.

My appologies right click on desktop->icons->does have align to grid
->configure desktop ...set to show icons
and I hav'nt had a problem
That said I noticed when I put in a disk or a SD card or that sort of thing ,sometimes one Icon will appear over another and I have to drag it off
