mepis - .kdeinit

Hello,

I've done an upgrade of everything on my mepis system. upgrading to kde 3.5.1 for example

now whenever a user logs into kde they get a message along the lines of '.kdeinit not found please check your install'. However, when you click 'ok' it goes away and everything loads fine.

I realise that the etch pool is a little unstable, but i am also using the same sources on my laptop. and that's fine.

on that subject there are no virtual terminals on my laptop cntl + alt + f1 etc. but there are on my desktop - same disk, same apt sources.

where's the config file for this? i'm more used to slackware....
