Mepis debian and thunderbird

Hi,

I've installed the above and most thing have gone well. However, I can't get Thunderbird email at all. When I click on the button I get a yellow panel that says: <windows ID="messengerWindows".

Right clicking does nothing and when I click on the r/h close button I just go back to the front page.

Any ideas, please?

I'm so sorry. I now realise that I've clicked on Mepis rather than Mint. I'll change over immediately.

OK - a mistake like this does happen at times...:-)
For the record: Thunderbird does work in Mepis Linux...
