MEPIS can't unmount partitions when suspending; should I care?

When I try to suspend to disk, MEPIS says it can't unmount two of my partitions. At first, I would cancel the suspension and just shut down, thinking I'd better not ignore that. Eventually, I tried ignoring the warning and suspending anyway; this didn't appear to mess up the partitions in any way or cause any problem, so I've kept doing it. Is there any risk in that?

Hi newbiesforever,

The same thing used to happen to me when I was using Debian Etch. I ran the fdisk - it repaired 2-3 errors and then this unmounthing error stopped.

Hope this helps.
