MEPIS 7.0 - a couple questions

Hey all,

I just installed MEPIS 7.0 and have a couple of questions...maybe someone could help.

1) I dual boot: Windows/Mepis. At the boot screen, I have been selecting Mepis 2.6.22.1 something....mepis-smp. That is the 3rd option iirc. However, above that, the 1st option - boot with newest kernal. Should I be using that instead? The 2nd option - old kernal, does not interest me.

2) I like to change the colors of my active title bar and inactive title bar. I went to the "Control Center" like always and changed my active and inactive title bars. Strangely, only the "active" title bar actually changed to the desired color. The "inactive" title bar will change color but only such that it matches the color I set for the desktop background. For example, pretend I set red inactive title bar, green active title bar and black desktop background. What I get is black inactive title bar, green active title bar and black desktop background.

Any thoughts?

1)If you use the first option, you will probably get the same kernel (at present). The menu is set up that way to allow you to choose an older kernel if an upgrade turns out to cause problems.

2) Can't help you with that one. Sorry.
