Congradulations, I have been using LFS to build my own personal distro and have been slowly breaking off of lfs; One man distro is pretty rough.

So what started you on the mepis project? And how did you come by that name, if you don't mind me asking.

EDIT: Actually I saw a post somewhere that MEPIS meant "Managerial Education and Personal Information Systems".

As warren most likely wont answer(hes a very busy man). I'll answer in his place.

Actually there are 3 developers of MEPIS, Warren started it off as a one man show and then mmelbert aka, Matt joined on. Next LordDavon aka David signed on. The name MEPIS actually came about by a hearing mistake, he was talking about the name for a company on the phone with one of his friends. His friend said something which to him sounded like MEPIS, he checked it and nobody appeared to be using it so it stuck. The company for which that name was for never took off, so he reused the name and started MEPIS the linux distribution.
