On KDE. Right click on the desktop
Select Create New > Link to Location (URL)
First line enter Home
Second line enter directory location /home/username_here
Select OK
To change the icon right click on the new icon and select properties
When it opens there will be an icon in the upper left corner.
Click on it.
Now select the Filesystem section to locate the icon
Select folder_home.
