Loss of USB on kernel 2.6 after upgrade
Just updated all packages in my Mepis3.3.1 install, using Synaptic and the standard Debian ftp repository. I've done this many times before with no (or very litle) problems. This time, though, I've had a disaster.
I have now completely lost my USB mouse when running kernel 2.6.10
I have also lost my USB ethernet card (D-Link DUB-E100.
Everything else appears to be working fine. I will check later if my camera (which is also USB) is still recognized.
When booting into kernel 2.4.29, the mouse works. However, I still have no ethernet when in 2.4.29.
For a variety of reasons, I tend to upgrade packages roughly every 2 weeks, so I can clearly say this problem stems from a package that was upgaded in the past 2 weeks (though there were quite a lot of packages that had upgrades when I ran it, so I don't know which one).
Does anyone know what the faulty package is that caused this so I can fix this.
Thanks.
