What is the login username and pw for the live cd?

demo and both counts.

BTW the root pw is root

Do you mean to use demo in both user and pw?

or root in both?

User is demo and default pw is demo.

If you are asked for the root pw while running the live cd it's root.

Since 2004, and as yamawho says, the password for root is root and the password for demo is demo. It may have always been this way but I only started with MEPIS using SimplyMEPIS 3.3 released in 2004 I think.
