KWrite refuses to print
 

I just added the BJC 800 (I think) driver for my Canon i850, based on what someone else here had success with. KWrite failed to print a document using this printer and driver. The failure consisted only of nothing happening. It appears to be a KWrite problem, because the test page did print during driver setup, and I just tested it elsewhere, successfully printing a Wikipedia article. Has anyone else had KWrite fail to print?

I suggest that you use kjobviewer to see if the document made it onto the print queue or not. If the document did not make it onto the print queue then the problem is in kwrite. If the document is on the print queue but will not print then the problem is in the printer driver setup.

If you do not have kjobviewer handy then look at the files on /var/spool/cups and see if you can figure out what is going on.
