kpowersave for 3.4.3
i'v installed mepis 3.4.3 on my acer laptop but my battary shows 0 charge
what can i do to make it work ?
it was working on suse 10 but i love mepis thats why i have it on my laptop
Ooh one more thing noking that to boot i have to use noapic or it would not boot and the screen would go black for ever.

Does synaptic not have this? also install acpi module (acpid).

i have uninstalled mepis from my laptop coz it was heating up and did not detect all my hardware but i will reinstall it this week coz i like debian linux more than othere distro's

kpowersave and acpi and acpid will all be in synaptic. It will also help with freq scaling if your compter chip allows that.

thanks alot man . . . for mepis to work on my laptop i had to use noapic
but any way i think it was someting in the kernal coz i'm using the new ubuntu 6.06 and evey thing works

there is no BIOS update for my laptop i have looked for it in the site before .
i think you are right . . but acer did not do it so someone told me that i have to use a kernel that's made to do the job anyway i looked at that time and i did not find one
but with the new ubuntu the power monitor works very nicely
