hi all, i have simply mepis 3.3.1-1 installed on my machine.
today i updated tons of my package for no apparent reason other than boredom. im sure some other things are broken, but the most obvious broken thing is konqueror!
whenever i click on any folder on the desktop it opens konqueror but it wont go to that directory. ALSO, i can open any other file directories because it doesnt recognize the "protocol", even if i put file:// before it.

so my old version was 3.3.2 which i still have i think, and the new is 3.4.2.
any suggestions on how to fix this, or how i can associate my folders opening up the old version of konqueror? thanks a lot.

With MEPIS, updates can often chew up applications. You can either sit and wait for another update to sort it out, or you can use "apt-get install kde" which should (in theory) re-install the whole KDE and get it working again.

Hey, I am also getting this problem after an update. Did running apt-get install kde get this working?
