KDEInit error with kinfocenter

I've seen this before in my SM 6.0 system. I want to launch something and I get (in this case for kinfocenter):

"Sorry- KDE Panel
KDEInit couldn't launch 'kinfocenter' ->OK<- "

But kinfocenter is launched anyway.

If instead of clicking on the panel icon for kinfocenter, I type in ' kinfocenter ' in the command box in the panel, kinfocenter opens with no error. Why is there a difference? Why does KDEInit object at times and not at other times? What do I have to change in or add to KDEInit?

Thanks
