installing mepis

I'm trying to install Mepis on an older Dell. It is a 933Mhz process with 128 MB of ram and a 20 GB hard drive.

For some reason the install continues to hang at 62 percent. Any suggestions?

For some reason it finally installed last night. After about 10 tries. Not sure why, maybe it had trouble reading the CD?

I suspect so. --

Recently, I have had occasion to do several installs from 1 particular CD, & they have been "hanging" on 95%, but eventually completing if left alone.

The CD isn't dirty or especially scratched.
